Hand Carved Wood Santo Nino de Praga or Infant of Prague about 150 years old. Provenance: Bohol, Philippines. No hands. Image and base colored with natural pigments from native rocks and plants. Pigments of green, yelllow and gold leaf. Wood base design is mortar and pestle typical of Bohol province. Image measures 12 inches high without the base is 16 1/2 inches high including the base. Weighs 800 grams. Some wood cracks due to age. Large crack at the back, left side of the rounded part of the base. Chipped off edge at the right, bottom part of the base. Some woodworm holes at the base, missing hands and broken crown tip at front and back.
