Title: Carved Wood San Sebastian / Saint Sebastian
Date/Era/Period: Early to mid 20th Century circa 1940's
Grade: Excellent
Condition: Perfect shape, minimal paint loss and original paint.
Origin: New Mexico or Mexico
Size: Overall Dimensions: 12 inches tall x 4 inches wide x 4 inches deep), Weight = 6.5 oz.
Comments: A very artistic representation of this saint. This is a Southwest American art as is represented in the anatomy and facial features of this carving. Carved out of a lighter type of wood, gessoed and painted in a more darker flesh tone and the patina has given it a deeper dark color. Two of the arrows are not original and a total of four are piercing his body. Real and original rope binding around his body, beautiful paint schemes and dark patina forming most at its backside.
