This is an early 19th century South American (Brazil) Nuestra Senora del Immaculada Conception (Immaculate Conception) of Portuguese influence, handcarved, gessoed thickly and polychrome painted. She has tiny glass eyes and three beautiful cherubs below her attached to the clouds. One of the cherubs is missing a wing and her hands are also missing. Very colorful original painting. Stands 12.5" high x 4.5" wide x 3.75" deep and weighs 1 lb., 4.1oz. Silver crown is not included in the sale.
