This is an early 19th century Mexican San Sebastian in carved wood, gessoed and polychrome painted. It has glass eyes and rugged unshaven look about him. This is a large size and has a high quality workmanship. Arrows piercing his body, ropes and his halo are missing. All fingers on both hands are complete. Altogether a fine piece with minor paint losses.
