This is an 18th century Indo Portuguese silver crown for a Saint. Silver crowns are normally used to accessorize cherished carved saint statues.
The crown is very high quality with beautiful handmade very fine minute filigree design.  The ball and cross on top is screwed and is removable. It is encrusted with very dark patina when found, however it can be cleaned to shine like new. It is suited for a medium size saint (12"-14" high). The crown passed acid testing for high grade silver.
