This is an early 20th century carved wood image Virgen del Carmen or Ns del Carmen as written at the lower base. Carved by the renowned Cortes santero family. It is signed D. Cortes at the front right side of the base. She and the Christ Child have broken fingers, the halo was reglued but otherwise in good condition with very minimal paint loss. Gold gilding, purple and cream colors.
